view from the front row

Celebs and socials that think they know fashion each season come to New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park for a couple of reasons:

1. To show their face so they are still mentioned about in the gossips.

2. Show their well planned/thought out outfits (by the stylist of course) of the designer who's show they are attending.

3. Look interested and feel like there in fashion as they watch the clothes come down the runway (I especially love the celebs. who will carry a notebook/pen).

4. Oh, and not to discredit all celebs but some will actually come for the clothes. . . some.

Anyway heres who showed up where:

Taylor Momsen
I'm not sure if I'm loving her looks these days but I might have to take that back, the dress with the cropped motorcycle dress is so cute.

The dress above was my grandmas, I knew I could do something with it so I added a belt and made it so it was kind of billowy on top, the results turned out well.

I love raiding my grandmothers or my moms closet for vintage finds, their closets are seriously my favorite places to go shopping, not to mention cheap. Of course, usually theres some altering to be done like taking out shoulder pads adding a belt and raising the hem and what not. But the results are generally pleasing.

hey, party girl

Ah, the metallic leggings, always a must. Get them at AA, Urban or Topshop.

Photobucket
This girls' nail polish is ridiculously awesome, her makeup and jewelery is so on point.

I used to be on the fence with the geek glasses, but this girl pulls them off so well I may have to go buy some.

the hippie headband, always a staple in the party girl wardrobe.

These girls are insane, but I love it! The middle one looks like she's doing Lady Ga Ga while the one on the far right is rocking a russian-esque fur hat. I love the headband the girl on the far left is wearing (I actually have it), you can get it at Urban Outfitters.

Rihanna Verizon & Blackberry Grammy Pre-Party February 6, 2008

Acrylic French manicure and pedicure, hoop earrings, gaudy silver jewelery, blue shoes and blue dress. Pretty much sounds like the makings for an incredibly tacky outfit, right? Nope.
